The classes offered by Flotilla 41 are open to the public. The courses are taught by qualified Coast Guard Auxiliarists. Upon passing an examination at the conclusion of each course, students will receive a completion certificate.

Classes are usually taught at the Jubilee Yacht Club, in Beverly. Scheduled classes include:

Paddlesports America Class
Introductory Course for Kayakers and Canoeists

When: Wednesday evenings. Three separate classes in May, June and
              July, 2011, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

              May Class: May 11, 18 and 25
              June Class: June 8, 15, and 22
              July Class:  July 13, 20, and 27


Where: Jubilee Yacht Club, 126 Water Street, Beverly, MA
Cost:     $20.00 per student

Canoeists and kayakers are boaters also. Now there is a course available to address the unique needs of this audience. 
The Paddlesports America class is the official course of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary designed to meet the needs of canoeists and kayakers. This exciting safety course comes with a five chapter student manual. The topics include: Know Your Paddlecraft; Before You Get Underway; Operating Your Boat Safely; Legal Requirements of Boating; and Boating Emergencies … What to Do.

Completion certificate awarded. Pre-registration is required.
